Meeting Mrs. Sharyn Sharp
I am a native of the Brazosport area. I grew up in Clute and lived here for 20 years before I married and moved away in 1977. My husband, Bobby, and I returned to the area in 1980 and have lived in Lake Jackson for the past 35 years. We have three children; Greg, Kenneth, and Stephanie. I am the proud grandmother of six.
This is my 26th year as an educator. I graduated from the University of Houston at Clear Lake with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1990 and a Masters of Science degree in Educational Management in 2007. I taught first grade for 14 years, second grade and kindergarten for one year each, and second through fourth as a Title I teacher for three years. In 2009, I was chosen Elementary Teacher of the Year for Madge Griffith Elementary and the District. I was also chosen as one of the top five educators at Region IV, our District educational center.
This is my 7th year as Assistant Principal at Madge Griffith. I am privileged to be here working with your children at such an amazing school.
